California Resident

The vehicle must be purchased or leased and delivered and registered to a California address.

First-Time ZEV Customer

You must be a first-time buyer or lessee of a qualifying zero-emission vehicle and complete the required self-attestation.

Qualifying New EV

New vehicles must be model year 2026 or newer and, for Kia, have an MSRP of $50,000 or less.

Program Availability

The vehicle, manufacturer and dealership must participate. Incentives are available only while program funds remain.

*MyFirstEV: Available to eligible California residents who are first-time zero-emission vehicle buyers or lessees on qualifying vehicles through participating manufacturers and dealers. New vehicles must be model year 2026 or newer. Kia vehicles must have an MSRP of $50,000 or less. The combined $3,500 new-vehicle incentive consists of $1,750 from the State of California and a $1,750 participating-manufacturer match and is applied at the point of sale. One incentive per individual for the lifetime of the program. Vehicle, model year, trim, dealer and manufacturer eligibility and availability may vary.
